It is undoubtedly the major Jewish event of the year.  Shluchim of the Lubavitcher Rebbe from all continents except Antartica, converge on their home base, 770 Eastern Parkway, for a three day conference of Torah learning, workshops, Chassidishe gatherings (farbrengens) and comradeship.

The high point of the Kinus is the Gala Banquet, where R' Mendy Jerufi and Avreimi Gourarie provided the musical interlude with niggunim, and led the traditional Shluchim dance after the elecrically charged roll call.
